President Trump’s Peace Plan and How It Relates To the Future Covenant of Israel With the Antichrist

Concerning the peace plan[1] that the Trump administration is offering to both Israel and the Palestinians, it is not a prelude to the seven-year treaty that will start the tribulation. There is not even the implication that this is a step that may lead to that future treaty. It is way too soon to even guess at this stage who the political figures will be to sign that future covenant.

At this stage, the Palestinians have already rejected the Trump peace plan and have rejected it even before it was made public and have done so again once it was made public. Speaking from a political viewpoint only and not from a biblical perspective, if the Palestinians continue to reject the peace treaty, it will go nowhere. So, unless the Palestinian leaders change their minds and begin negotiating, the treaty will not make any future progress.

What it may lead to is that Israel will finally declare that the Palestinians do not want to make peace with her. They may then begin annexing much of the West Bank where Israeli settlements have been built. This will move the Israeli border to the edges of the areas with heavily concentrated Palestinian populations which will leave little to no room to manoeuvre for these people.

After three elections, Israel still cannot form a government, and now there is talk of a fourth election that may or may not end any differently than the previous three elections. Hence, as far as the government is concerned, Israel is in turmoil.

As always, we must avoid using newspaper exegesis to determine where we are biblically. Bible prophecy is never fulfilled approximately, only precisely and completely. It is therefore simply wise to step back and see how things develop and not jump to any conclusions at this stage of the game.

Yours for the Salvation of Israel,

Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum

According to the Deutsche Welle, the Trump peace plan, which officially is called Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People, is a proposal by the Trump administration to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. President Trump formally unveiled the plan in a White House press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on January 28, 2020.
