Q: What are your thoughts on climate change and its relationship to the time of the rapture?
A: There is nothing prophetic about climate change. If the theories regarding the reasons for climate change were to turn out to be true, climate change would fall into the prophecy of Isaiah 24:5-6, which states:
5The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. 6Therefore has the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are found guilty: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
These verses explain why the tribulation will come upon the Gentile world: By corrupting the earth, they have violated the Noahic Covenant. In the tribulation, the Jewish people will be judged on the basis of the Mosaic Law, but the Gentiles will be judged because they violated the Noahic Covenant. Time will tell just how accurate the predictions and theories regarding climate change are, but thus far I am not particularly convinced that they are correct.
