The second point of Ariel Ministries’ doctrinal statement regards the Godhead: “We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All three possess equally all the same attri - butes, nature, perfections, and characteris - tics of personality.” Even among conservative scholars, there are some who would disagree with this statement. A small minority claims that the Son ceased to be God at the incar - nation. Others believe that He was always part of the Trinity but that His Sonship only occurred with His incarnation.
